Technical Services

At EMB , we specialize in providing advanced Inspection, Quality Assurance (QA), and Quality Control (QC) services, integrating cutting-edge methodologies like Metal Magnetic Memory (MMM) to ensure the highest standards of operational integrity and compliance in the oil and gas sector.

Application of Metal Magnetic Memory (MMM) in Buried Pipeline Inspection: A pivotal component of our advanced NDT services includes the utilization of Metal Magnetic Memory (MMM) for the inspection of buried pipelines. This innovative technique is particularly effective in early detection of stress concentration zones, which are precursors to defects in ferromagnetic materials. In the context of buried pipelines, MMM is employed to non-invasively assess the integrity of the pipeline material through its magnetic memory characteristics. This method is capable of detecting anomalies caused by stress concentration due to corrosion, mechanical damage, or welding defects, even before these imperfections become visible through other testing methods. By analyzing variations in the natural residual magnetic field of the pipeline, MMM provides a powerful tool for preemptive maintenance and risk assessment. This approach is invaluable for ensuring the safety and longevity of buried pipelines, allowing for targeted interventions before the development of critical failures, thus optimizing maintenance efforts and reducing potential downtime.

Welding Engineering, Inspection, Certification, and Quality Control: Our Certified Welding Inspectors (CWIs) & (CWB) ensure compliance with AWS standards, conducting detailed inspections and overseeing welding processes. We integrate Quality Control measures at every stage, from Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) development to final weld quality assessment, ensuring structural integrity and compliance.

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Our NDT services employ Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT).

Coating Inspection on Buried Pipelines using DCVG: For buried pipelines, we employ Direct Current Voltage Gradient (DCVG) technique for coating inspection. This method is crucial for locating defects in pipeline coatings, which are potential sites for corrosion. By applying a direct current to the pipeline and measuring voltage gradients in the soil above, our technicians can accurately identify areas where the coating has deteriorated. This targeted approach allows for precise maintenance and repair, significantly prolonging the pipeline's life and ensuring operational safety.

Cathodic Protection Analysis Using Close Interval Potential Survey (CIPS): In our suite of specialized services, we also offer Cathodic Protection Analysis through the Close Interval Potential Survey (CIPS) technique. This advanced method is crucial for the assessment and maintenance of cathodic protection systems on buried or submerged metallic structures. CIPS involves taking closely spaced potential measurements along a pipeline or other metallic structure to evaluate the effectiveness of the cathodic protection system. By precisely measuring the pipe-to-soil potentials, we can identify areas where the cathodic protection may be insufficient and where corrosion is likely to occur. This detailed analysis allows for targeted adjustments to the cathodic protection system, ensuring comprehensive corrosion protection and extending the lifespan of the infrastructure. Our expertise in CIPS ensures that your assets are not only compliant with regulatory standards but are also operating in an optimally protected state against corrosion.

Vendor Inspection, Quality Control, and Expediting: We perform extensive vendor inspections and quality control checks, from initial material selection through to final product delivery. Our expediting services ensure adherence to manufacturing schedules and contractual specifications.
